Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I'm walking 78km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
In 2024 I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. We were very lucky as it was caught early and my body responded well to the treatment. A year and a half of chemotherapy, radiation and a Whipple's Procedure (not to mention worry) meant I came out of it with no further signs of cancerous cells. Ongoing scans and tests since, have all been clear, but this is something that always hangs over you and can possibly return...
78 families in Australia a week aren't as fortunate as we were, which is why I've signed up for this to support them.
Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.
Research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 78km to fight this terrible disease.
