Support our challenge to end pancreatic cancer

This September, Team Sama is walking 78km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer every week — in memory of our much-loved husband, dad and father-in-law, Steve.

In February 2020, Steve went from living a completely normal life to taking his final breath just two weeks later. His pancreatic cancer diagnosis came while he was in ICU, just two days before he died.

Steve loved photography, plane spotting, watching his son play football from the sidelines and, most importantly, telling terrible jokes at family dinners.

Six years on, we’re walking together as a family to remember Steve and to help change the story for other families facing pancreatic cancer.

Pancreatic cancer is brutal. It’s often diagnosed too late and is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia, with 12 Australians diagnosed every day.

Research can change that.

So this September, Team Sama is getting up, getting moving and walking 78km for Steve and for every family who has lost someone to this devastating disease.
