Walking 78km for Mum and Martin — Remember September
Pancreatic cancer has taken so much from our family. We lost my mother, two aunts and an uncle to this disease, and this year, we lost my brother Martin too.
This September I'm walking 78 kilometres, one kilometre for every Australian life lost to pancreatic cancer each week. Every step is for my mum, who I miss every single day, and for Martin, whose loss is still so raw.
My goal is to raise $1,200 through the Purple Pledge. Pancreatic cancer is brutal. It moves fast, it's often diagnosed too late, and survival rates haven't improved in decades. That has to change. Funds raised through Remember September go directly to Pankind's research, working to triple the survival rate by 2030 and give families a chance ours never had.
