💜 Running for Rev Christian
This September, I’ve joined the Anglican Church’s 78km challenge to raise awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer. I’m challenging myself to run 78km throughout September, representing the 78 Australians who sadly lose their lives to this cruel disease every week.
This one is particularly close to our hearts. Our priest, Christian, from Gosford Anglican Church, has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is now in palliative care.
Although we’ve only sat in Christian’s services a handful of times, the impact he has had on our family has been profound. From the moment we met him, he made us feel so welcome at the church. He baptised our beautiful Polly, and she absolutely adores him. We’re completely heartbroken by his diagnosis.
So, I wanted to get involved in this challenge to honour Christian, raise awareness and help raise much-needed funds for pancreatic cancer research.
