My target 78 kms
Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I'll be walking 78 kilometres as part of Remember September to raise funds for PanKind, Australia's only organisation dedicated to pancreatic cancer research and support.
I'm walking for my dad, Steve "Locko".
In 2024, our family received the heartbreaking news that Dad had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Like so many families, we never imagined we would be facing this journey. Since his diagnosis, we've witnessed his incredible strength, resilience and determination every single day.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest cancers to diagnose and treat, and sadly, survival rates remain far too low. That's why research is so important. Every breakthrough gives hope to families like ours and helps move us closer to earlier detection, better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
Every kilometre I walk throughout September will be for Dad, for everyone currently battling pancreatic cancer, for those we've lost, and for the families walking beside them.
If you're able to make a donation, no matter the amount, you'll be helping fund vital pancreatic cancer research and support services through PanKind. Every contribution makes a difference.
Thank you for supporting me, supporting my family, and most importantly, supporting hope.
Together, we can help create a future where more families have more time with the people they love. 💜
We will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them.

My Tribute Post

To my Dad, This walk is for you. You have always been our strength, our protector and the person we know we can always count on. Through every challenge life has thrown your way, you've faced it with courage, determination and a quiet strength that inspires everyone around you. Watching you battle pancreatic cancer has been one of the hardest things our family has ever experienced. But even through the toughest days, you continue to show us what resilience really looks like. Every kilometre I walk this September is a reminder of how much you mean to me and how proud I am to call you my dad. I'm walking to honour your fight, to support life-changing research, and with the hope that one day other families won't have to face what ours is facing. Thank you for everything you've done for our family, for your unconditional love, your guidance, and for always putting others before yourself. I love you more than words can ever say, Dad. We'll be with you every step of the way, just as you've always been there for us. This walk is for you, today and always. 💜 Love always.
