Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer

This September, I’m walking 78km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.

For me, every kilometre is for my dad. ❤️

Last year, I watched pancreatic cancer take my dad from us far too soon. He was only 63. He wasn’t ready to go, and we weren’t ready to lose him.

He wanted to be here. He wanted more time. He wanted to see me become a mum and be a grandad. He had so much more life he wanted to live.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancers, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.

Every day, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.

But research can change this.

So this September, I’m walking 78km in Dad’s honour. For the man who would have cheered me on every step of the way. For the extra time he deserved. And for every family who is still hoping for more time with someone they love.

I’ll carry him with me for every kilometre.
