Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I'm not* walking 78km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week, but you should still donate if you are able to, and here’s why:
Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancers, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.
But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
This will still be true whether or not I walk 78km in a month. And I won’t walk that much because I have chronic pain from surviving breast cancer. I survived breast cancer because the popularity of Pink Ribbon fundraisers means that funding for life saving research into breast cancer treatment far outweighs other cancers and huge advances in treatment have made it one of the most treatable and survivable cancers. I want to make that true for other cancers now.
Please make a donation to support me, and together...
We will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them.
