Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I’m walking 78km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week. But for me, this challenge is about my dad.
I met my dad, Paul, for the first time in 2013, and every minute we have together is precious. Over the past year, he has been going through treatment for pancreatic cancer. Being on the other side of the world means I can’t be there beside him, but I want him to know I’m with him every step of the way.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancers, with devastating survival rates. Every day, 12 Australians are diagnosed, and it remains the third biggest cancer killer in Australia.
Research can change this. Although this charity is Australian, the research it funds can help drive discoveries and treatments with a global impact.
