Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer

This September, I'm walking 78km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.

Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3^rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.

But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.

So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 78km to fight this terrible disease.

Slowly losing weight over a couple of years, we attributed Dad’s decline to his diabetes - diagnosed late in life. Little did we know that this was a risk factor for Pancreatic cancer. A CT scan of his abdomen in December 2025 revealed a spot on his pancreas………4 months later he was called home. As my sister says - we were blindsided. We were blessed that he had little pain and that we could care for him at home for his final months. September is Dad’s birth month so it is more than fitting that we will be taking part in Remember September. We will be Doin it for you Bernie - Doin’ it for Dadda!
