💜 Walking in Memory of Dad, John Sandercock 💜
This September, I'm walking 78km+ for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.
In May this year, my Dad became one of those 78 people, after fighting for 5 hard years.
Two years before Dad was diagnosed, in 2019 my Nanna also died from Pancreatic Cancer and became one of those 78 lives.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancers, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.
But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 78km+ to fight this terrible disease.
