Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I'm walking to honour the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.
On September 4th 2024, I lost my Dad (David) to a short fight with pancreatic cancer. It was only 47 days after his diagnosis that this deadly disease took his life.
David was never seen without a smile, and always had a joke to tell or story to share. To his friends, he was generous with his wisdom and a comfort in hard times. To his kids, he was a role model and best friend. To his wife, he was the utmost caring, loving, and loyal husband.
Pancreatic cancer is one of Australia’s deadliest cancers, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating. I believe that early detection can change lives, and could have changed my dad’s life.
12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia. That’s why I’m walking – to help change this.
My goal is to raise $500, and I would appreciate your support in achieving this.
Your donation will support PanKind’s mission to fund lifesaving research and provide essential support programs for those navigating this disease. Together, we can create a brighter future for Australians affected by pancreatic cancer.
Every dollar makes a difference. Please donate today – your generosity will fuel progress and bring hope to so many.
Thank you for your support!
