Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I’m walking 75km for the 75 Australians who lose their lives to pancreatic cancer each week, and for someone very close to my heart.
Earlier this year my Grossi (grandmother), Meg, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
I was around 4 or 5 years old when I first met Grossi and the family. From the moment I met them, they have always made me feel like I belong. Grossi has shown me endless love and support, which is no surprise as anyone that knows her, knows that she has the biggest heart and and is one of the most caring people you’ll ever meet. She has spent her life making others feel loved, and she deserves to feel that same love surrounding her now. Which is why I want to do something (even something small), to honour her and to help others facing this disease.
Pancreatic cancer is the toughest common cancer, with survival rates that are devastating. But research can change this, it can improve treatment and give families more time together.
So this September, I’m getting my butt out the door and walking 75km in honour of Meg and everyone impacted by this terrible disease.
Any support, big or small, means the world 💜💜💜
