Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
Mum was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer last October, after it had already metastasised to her lungs, for which the five-year survival rate is just 3.2%.
Unfortunately, chemo is no longer an option because it made Mum too sick to enjoy her life. With 12 people diagnosed every day and so few clinical trials available, she’s left with few options.
Around 80% of cases are caught late because there is still no routine early-detection screening for the general public, even if there’s a hereditary link.
We’d like to keep Mum around, so we’re hoping we can raise money to increase those chances.
