Im running 78km minimum this September im honour of my late Aunty who passed in 2010 from this horrible disease. RIP my beautiful, kind and warm hearted Aunt. You were my best friend. So I will run this for you, whilst listening to Lee Kerneghans song 'She's My Ute' just for you ❤️

My Mum, the bravest person i know battled this cancer in silence until we got a diagnosis. She passed 9 weeks later at home whilst myself and my sisters cared for her and loved her right through to her end here on Earth. I miss her funny little laugh and her words of wisdom. We shared bubbles together, walked together and had lots of talks about anything and everything. We loved playing Scrabble together and she would always come over and help with her expertise in the garden. I miss her alot and wished she could have had more time here with us all. I do know i did not want her to suffer the awful pain Pancreatic Cancer causes. It is a silent killer until too late so i want to help to find a cure earlier on and this fund raiser is going to help others in the future. Miss you always Mum xx

This September, I’m walking 156km to support my father, Bob, in his fight against pancreatic cancer. Diagnosed in March 2023 with stage 4 pancreatic cancer that had spread to his liver, he has been battling this disease for almost two and a half years now. Your strength and ability to maintain your wicked sense of humour through all of this continues to inspire me. I love you, Dad. Keep fighting. 💜

Remembering my lovely dad who succumbed very quickly to pancreatic cancer 5 years ago....love and miss you dad ❤️

On the 28th August my dad, Paul Gee, lost his battle to pancreatic cancer. He was able to stop having to fight, and I am sure he was grateful to have both his children holding his hand while that happened. In 2023, my Dad had the term ‘Sisu’ tattooed on his wrist as a personal reminder to himself. Sisu is a Finnish concept that means ‘extraordinary determination, grit, and inner strength in the face of extreme adversity.’ At the time, he did not yet know the adversity that was to come with his diagnosis, but nevertheless he was determined to fight. 28 days prior, his beautiful team at the Queen Elizabeth hospital in SA helped tidy him up and ship him off to see myself and my partner get married. We had such a special day in the sun and I’m forever grateful I had my Dad with me. Attached is one of my favourite photos of the day, sharing a look that said a million words before coming with me down the aisle. I told my dad about what we had already achieved for Remember September in August, and he was so honoured to have a village of beautiful, caring people, working to make our experience of the last year more manageable for others. Dad said “well you’d better get your steps in now”, and I will. Thank you to everyone supporting this mission, Paul Gee would be incredibly chuffed, and proud of every one of you.

My sister in law passed away 10 years ago. Su Sweetapple she was an amazing soul always helping people and knew when I was down or worried always got a phone call she had a sixth sense and could pick up on people. Our whole family miss her she left three beautiful daughters and a husband. She is always talked about and remembered she had white blonde hair and the brightest blue eyes and the biggest smile an infectious giggle. Love you Su❤️❤️

RememberSeptember is nearly here and it's a reminder to make sure your pancreas is in good health. Your health should be your number one priority in making sure you look after yourself. My mother died of pancreatic cancer in January 2004 and we are still missing her a lot. I was mum's carer and it was hard work but very rewarding in that we were able to take care of my mum at home. I remember carrying my mum one time and she would always apologise. I told my mum that it was my privilege in giving her the support and dignity she needed at this very vulnerable time in her life. We have so much to be thankful for in our Mothers. My mum raised, fed and cared for a family of 7 children so it only makes sense that we, as her children, give something back.

My beautiful Mum, Chris, passed away on 22/11/2024 after an 11 month battle with Pancreatic Cancer. This cruel disease robbed her and our family of so much and I miss her terribly. I’ll be walking 78kms in her honour. I have deliberately chosen something that will push me. I live with chronic conditions, Lipodema & MCAS which makes exercise extremely challenging — but it does not compare to facing pancreatic cancer, enduring its treatment or losing someone you love to this devastating disease. My Mum and every other person affected by pancreatic cancer will be my reason to keep walking, even on the difficult days. I'm grateful to be a part of Remember September and support those affected by pancreatic cancer, to honour my mum, and everyone whose life has been touched by this cruel disease. Together, we will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them 💜

My 91 year old Mum received a diagnosis of Pancreatic cancer at the end of February this year and in only 23 days she had passed away. This cause is close to my heart and in September I will Remember my Mum and want to raise awareness and funds to go towards research into this aggressive disease. Let the challenge begin

💜 78 KM FOR FRANK — SEPTEMBER 2026 💜 This September, I will be walking 78 kilometres for Pankind, representing the 78 people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in Australia every week. I will be walking every one of those kilometres in honour of my beautiful husband, Frank. 💔 Frank was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in June this year. Sadly, our beautiful life together was changed so quickly, and I lost my darling husband far too soon. Frank was an incredible man — kind, strong, funny, loving and always there for the people he cared about. He was my husband, my best friend and my partner in all the little adventures that made our life together so special. Walking these 78 km won't bring Frank back, but I hope it can help give a voice to those affected by this devastating disease. Pancreatic cancer can be difficult to detect, and too many families are left facing the heartbreak that this disease brings. So, this September, I will walk for Frank. For the 78 people diagnosed every week. For their families. For those currently fighting.
