Wayne's Warrior March - 78kms in a day
In 2022 we lost our dad, Wayne, to pancreatic cancer. He was a warrior in every sense of the word, and fought right until the very end - but unfortunately it was a battle he could never win.
The statistics around diagnosis and survival of pancreatic cancer are truly shocking, and the only way that this will change is with more research, screening, and advanced treatment options.
The Pankind Foundation's Remember September encourages participants to walk 78km throughout the month to raise money for groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
In the spirit of our dad, Wayne, we have decided to take this a step further; on the 20th of September, we will attempt to complete the 78kms in a single day.
