Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I'm walking 85km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week and in memory of our Aunty Bev who recently last her battle to this silent cancer. Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating, l will never forget Aunty Bev telling me how saddened she felt as she attended her chemo sessions at Epworth Eastern, each day they saw between 60-80 patients of all ages ….. a cancer that does not discriminate.
Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.
But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 85km this distance represents the age Aunty Bev was when she was initially diagnosed by pure chance following an admission to hospital for totally unrelated reason to fight this terrible disease.
Please make a donation to support me, and together...
We will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them.
