Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer

In May 2026, our family lost my father-in-law Keith Sloan, to pancreatic cancer.

Like so many families, we experienced the heartbreak of a disease that is often silent until it's too late. Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest common cancers, with symptoms that frequently don't appear until the disease has already advanced. The statistics are devastating, but behind every statistic is someone deeply loved, just like our beloved Keith.

This September, I'm walking 156km in memory of Keith and for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer every week.

Every day, 12 Australians are diagnosed with this disease, making it the third biggest cancer killer in Australia. Yet despite its impact, pancreatic cancer continues to have one of the lowest survival rates of any common cancer.

It doesn't have to stay this way.

Research is giving families hope through better understanding, earlier diagnosis and improved treatments. Every donation helps fund the research that could one day mean more birthdays celebrated, more memories made, and more families spared the pain of saying goodbye too soon.

Every kilometre I walk this September will be for Keith, for the families grieving today, and for those who deserve a future where a pancreatic cancer diagnosis is no longer so devastating.
