Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I’m walking 75km in honour of my beautiful mum, who we lost to pancreatic cancer in 2024, just 11 weeks after she was first diagnosed.
It was a further 2 weeks from her initial scans before we had any clear answers. Those early weeks were filled with confusion, unanswered questions, and a desperate scramble to understand what was happening. Nothing could prepare us for how quickly and cruelly this disease would take hold.
Pancreatic cancer is the toughest common cancer. It’s aggressive, hard to detect, and often gives no warning until it’s too late, as was the case for our Mum. Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every single day. It’s already the third biggest cancer killer in Australia and survival rates haven’t improved nearly enough.
I’m walking 75km for the 75 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week. For the families like mine who had no time to prepare. For the ones who deserved more answers, more time, more hope.
Your support will help fund lifesaving research that could lead to earlier detection, better treatment, and improve survival rates.
So please, if you can, donate to support me in this challenge.
Thanks to Corrine for raising such an incredible daughter. For those we have lost and hopefully for those we can help.
