Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I’m walking 78km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer every week. 💜
This challenge is deeply personal to me. I have lost my beloved uncle to pancreatic cancer, and my dad to liver cancer. Losing people you love to cancer leaves a lasting ache, and it’s a reminder of how much more we need to do to prevent, detect and treat these devastating diseases.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancers. Because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, it is often diagnosed too late, and survival rates remain devastating.
Every day, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, making it the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.
But research can change this. Your support can help fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research, improve early detection and, ultimately, give more families more time with the people they love.
So this September, I’m challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 78km to fight this terrible disease.
