I'm walking to raise money to support Pancreatic cancer research in memory of Rob Hirst. I chose a photo to represent Rob as our cousin rather than one of him poised over a thunderous drum kit performing with The Oils! We lost Rob to pancreatic cancer but remember him for a massive legacy of music, social change, environmentalism and as a champion for Aboriginal recognition. In this photo it's just him. And it's his laugh. The Rob we also loved and miss as family.
Twelve Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the third biggest cancer killer in Australia.
But research can help to change this and it'd be great to have your support.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get out, get moving and walk 78km to help fight this disease.
