This September I am raising money for Pancreatic Cancer research in memory of my dad, Kevin Fisher. I'm walking 78km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.
The incidence of pancreatic cancer has more than doubled in the last 20 years. Early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, leading to devastating survival rates. 3 out of 10 people survive one year after diagnosis and 13% survive 5 years. Dad died 9 months after diagnosis.
