Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
Fifteen months ago I was diagnosed with stage 1 pancreatic cancer. I fought it — and I won. But I know how rare that outcome is, and how much luck was involved in catching it early.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the most unforgiving cancers. Early stages rarely show symptoms, so most people are diagnosed too late. Right now, 12 Australians hear those words every day. It’s the third biggest cancer killer in the country, and it claims 78 lives a week.
I got the outcome that far too few people get. This September, I’m walking 78km — one kilometre for every Australian we lose to this disease each week — because research is what changes those odds.
Every dollar you give goes toward the research that gave me my life back, and could do the same for someone else’s mum, dad, partner, or friend.
