Support my challenge to fight pancreatic cancer
This September, I'm giving up sugar and am increasing my fitness. I’m not competing with anyone in the team in regards to raising the most funds but am here to be a cheerleader for those who are doing the 71km and actively fundraising thanks for doing an amazing job. For those like myself who are missing my sister or who have lost someone dear to them with pancreatic cancer. I’m not actively fundraising as I’m not active on social media and am still grieving, since the death of my beautiful sister Liana to pancreatic cancer as well as my beautiful father shortly after my sister. I’m here to support all those who lost someone to pancreatic cancer, to remember my sister in my own way and also for a dear family friend Maria who also recently died of pancreatic cancer.
Pancreatic cancer is now the 4th biggest cancer killer in Australia, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
If you are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer tomorrow, there is only a 12.5% chance you'll be alive in 5 years.
But research can change this. Your support will fund life-saving pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 71km to fight this terrible disease.
Please make a donation to support me, and together...
We will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them.
