Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer

This September, I'm walking 78km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.

Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.

But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.

So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 78km to fight this terrible disease.

Please make a donation to support me, and together...

We will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them.

Reaching the end

Tuesday 29th Sep

Living life

Saturday 19th Sep
18 years ago, I struggled to get my GP, to understand how sick I was, It wasn’t until I ended up taken by Ambulance to Hospital, that he realised I wasn’t wasting his time, a familiar story many people have had, I was diagnosed with a tumour in my pancreas, that lead to a wonderful Surgeon, who didn’t muck around. and after tests I was in hospital having my pancreas removed, my husband said after I met the Surgeon why didn’t I get a second opinion, I just knew he was a good doctor, now 17 nearly 18 years later I am thankful he was a positive person and that and my faith got me through, it has not been easy, Diabetes, Creon tablets, a restricted diet, and many more misadventures, but I think what I gained, I watched my only Granddaughter get married, travelled to China 🇨🇳 Japan Alaska and Canada 🇨🇦 I have some how managed to stay positive through all the setbacks, there is joy in living and so long as I keep waking up, that’s all I want.
