Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer

This September, I’m walking 78km for the 78 Australians who lose their lives to pancreatic cancer every week — and for my grandfather, who has fought this terrible disease.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest cancers to fight. Because early-stage pancreatic cancer often causes few or no symptoms, it can be incredibly difficult to detect early, and survival rates remain devastating.

This cause is especially close to my heart. My grandfather was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and has faced an incredibly difficult journey. He underwent Whipple surgery, and we are incredibly grateful that he has now been given the news that he is free from the cancer. 🤍

Watching someone you love fight pancreatic cancer changes you. It has shown me just how important research, early detection and better treatments are — and how much more needs to be done for the families who are still facing this fight.

12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day, and it remains the third biggest cancer killer in Australia.

So this September, I’m challenging myself to walk 78km — not just for the 78 lives lost each week, but for every person currently fighting, every family supporting someone they love, and everyone we’ve lost to this devastating disease.

If you’re able to, I would be so grateful for a donation to support pancreatic cancer research and help give more families the hope that mine has been fortunate enough to have.
