Support my challenge to fight pancreatic cancer
This September, my mum's birth month, I am remembering my mum, Sally Khoo, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the 2nd week of March 2025 and within 9+ very short weeks, left us for her eternal home.
I am thankful that she is now safe and resting in Father God's arms, free of all discomfort and pain. Though I know that one day we will be reunited again, I am missing her and still can't believe that she's really gone. I wonder what it's going to be like mum, when your birthday comes around and I can't "surprise" you with your favourite Japanese cheesecake or just any family celebration that we might have and you aren't there with us.
So I am walking 75km in memory of my mum.
================================
Below are the stats from pankind:
75 Australians die from pancreatic cancer each week.
Pancreatic cancer is now the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
If you are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer tomorrow, there is only a 13% chance you'll be alive in 5 years.
But research can change this. Your support will fund ground-breaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 75km to fight this terrible disease.
Please make a donation to support me, and together...
We will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them.
