I want to remember my grandpa!
This September, I'm walking 78km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.
I would like to remember my Grandpa Bernie, who sadly passed away on 5th of June 2024, and I feel that this would be a great way to remember him.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 78km to fight this terrible disease.

My Grandpa Bernard Reilly inspired me to take on this challenge of moving 78km. Grandpa was always a kind and cheerful man whenever he came over and is the reason that I am completing this challenge. Every night when there is a beautiful, falling sunset, I always remember grandpa’s soul because it always well suited his personality. It was very unfortunate that he got cancer and my family was so upset at the time. “Fly High Grandpa!”
