Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I'm walking 78km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.
But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 78km to fight this terrible disease.
Please make a donation to support me, and together...
We will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them.

My Updates
78Km for Marion 💜
Sunday 30th AugThis September, I’m walking 78km for pancreatic cancer in memory of my grandma, Marion Joyce Reid. My very own North Star, and quite possibly still the person giving me unsolicited advice from above.
I lost her when I was just 10 years old, which is far too young to properly understand what you’re losing. As I’ve grown older, I’ve realised just how much I wish I’d had more time with her. More memories, more stories, more conversations — and, knowing Marion, probably a lot of opinions about how I’m living my life. She definitely wouldn’t be short of them.
In my eyes, I think she was an Incredible woman and still of the biggest lights in my life. Although our time together was far too short, the impact she had on me has lasted a lifetime. I like to think she’s still looking out for me from above — judging my decisions, keeping me on my toes and occasionally wondering why the hell I thought walking 78km was a good idea.
But this walk is about more than just remembering my Grandma, Pancreatic cancer is still one of the hardest cancers to detect and, heartbreakingly, remains incurable. Too many people are diagnosed too late, and too many families are left having to say goodbye far sooner than they should.
That’s why raising awareness and funding research is so important to me. I want to honour Marion by helping contribute to a future where pancreatic cancer is better understood, detected earlier, treated more effectively and, ultimately, cured.
So, I’m walking 78km. Because apparently remembering someone you love wasn’t enough — I also needed to destroy my feet in their honour.
I know somewhere along the way I’ll be asking myself “Why did I sign up for this?” But then I’ll think of Marion, my North Star, and remember exactly why I’m doing it.
And honestly, I can already hear her: “Well, you chose to do it.”
She would have a point.
For Marion. My North Star, always and forever. 💜
If you’re able to donate, share this or simply help spread the word about pancreatic cancer, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every bit of support helps us get closer to a future where fewer families have to experience this kind of loss.
