I'm Moving It this September!
This September, I'm running 100km and am also giving up alcohol and sugar to help raise money for pancreatic cancer research. Many of you will already have donated to my families pages to please don’t feel the need to donate again but for anyone who can any extra help will be appreciated.
Another option is registering as a participant for the Put Your Foot Down Walk on October 16th in the city which is always great fun and a good family event.
Pancreatic cancer is now the 3rd biggest cancer killer of Australians, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
If you are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer tomorrow, there is only an 11.5% chance you'll be alive in 5 years.
But research can change this. Your support will fund life-saving pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and run 100km.
If you can make please a donation to support my challenge and help fund life-changing pancreatic cancer research.
Hope to see you all soon.
Thanks for participating John. Gav and I will be in NZ when this is on so I will be thinking of you all as you strive to find the research we need to find a cute and early detection. Xx
