💜 78km for Zenny 💜

This September, I’m taking on the Pancreatic Cancer Challenge and walking 78 kilometres in memory of my beautiful father-in-law, Zenny.

We sadly said goodbye to Zenny on 9 October 2025, after he fought so hard and went through so much treatment. As we come up to a year without him earthside, I wanted to do something to honour his memory and the man he was.

Zenny was a funny bugger. 😂 He loved his sneaky fatty takeaway — the kind he’d have to hide so he wouldn’t get caught! He loved collecting coins, checking the numbers on notes and coins, and could never resist an op shop or garage sale.

And if you knew Zenny, you probably knew the smell of Joop before you even saw him. 😂❤️

These are the little things I miss. The funny things. The things that made him him. The memories that make us laugh even while our hearts hurt.

So, this September, every kilometre I walk will be for Zenny. For the memories, the laughs, the love, and for the man we were nowhere near ready to say goodbye to.

This September, I'm walking 78km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.

Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3^rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.

But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.

So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 78km to fight this terrible disease.
