Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer

Every year I try to support a different organisation and in addition to my many years with the Down Syndrome Association NT and NT Disability Tenpin Bowlers I have focussed on Burkitt’s Lymphoma, (Leukaemia Foundation) breast and prostate cancer, mental health and MND - those close to my heart, and those that have directly impacted my family. Thank you to so many that have supported my endeavours over many years.

This September, I'm walking 78km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week. I plan to walk at least 100km.

Has Pancreatic cancer impacted my life or family personally?… no…..but Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.

Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3^rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.

But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.

So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 100km to fight this beast.

To show my support for my friends who have been and currently are impacted personally and those who have lost family members.
