Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I'm walking 78km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.
4 years ago I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, had an operation to remove half my pancreas and my spleen followed by intensive chemotherapy for 6 months. Late last year the cancer returned, this time to my liver, and now to my stomach. Despite suffering discomfort and pain since my original diagnosis I want to challenge myself for a good cause. I may not reach 78km - some days I can barely leave the couch - but I'm going to give it my best shot. Please support me in this challenge.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.
But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 78km to fight this terrible disease.
Please make a donation to support me, and together...
We will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them.
