Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
In October last year, I lost my beautiful nana after her incredibly brave three-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was the strongest, most resilient person I have ever known. Through every challenge, she faced life with courage, determination and so much love. She inspired me every single day, and not a day goes by that I don’t miss her.
This September, I’ll be walking 78km in memory of my nana and for the 78 Australians who lose their lives to pancreatic cancer every week.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest common cancers. It rarely causes symptoms in its early stages, meaning it’s often diagnosed too late. Every day, 12 Australians are diagnosed, and it is now the third biggest cancer killer in our country.
It doesn’t have to stay this way.
Research gives hope. Every donation helps fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research, bringing us closer to earlier detection, better treatments and, ultimately, more families getting to spend precious time with the people they love.
I’m walking because my nana deserved more time. I’m walking for every family who has experienced this heartbreaking disease, and for those who are still fighting.
If you’re able to, I would be so grateful for your support. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference.
Together, we will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them. 💜
