Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer

This September, I'm walking 78km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancers, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.

Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia. Last week, one of those 12 people was someone very dear to me. Someone who has been important to me since I was 14 years old. Someone who I consider family, even though there is no blood relationship. Someone who has been told there is no cure, and who I saw on Sunday, to enjoy what will probably be our last conversation. My heart is broken, as are the hearts of everyone who knows this person. This disease is so cruel and sneaks up so insidiously.

But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates. And it is one positive thing I can do in this terrible situation.

So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 78km to fight this terrible disease.

Please make a donation to support me, and together...

We will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them.
