Support my challenge to fight pancreatic cancer
This September, my sister and I are giving up a vice or walking to help fight pancreatic cancer.
For some who may not know, we lost our Dad (James/Gimmy) three years ago to pancreatic cancer. He was diagnosed at age 65 in September 2021 and by March 2022 he was gone. Dad was only 66. He tried his hardest to fight the same disease that took his Dad but it beat him.
Pancreatic cancer is now the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
If you are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer tomorrow, there is only a 13% chance you'll be alive in 5 years.
But research can change this. Your support will fund ground-breaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to give up something I can't go without to fight this terrible disease.
