Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I’m walking 80km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer every week.
But for me, this challenge is deeply personal.
September marks 10 years since I lost my Dad to pancreatic cancer.
I’m walking to honour him, his fight, his strength and the person he was. I’m walking to remember my first hero and to carry his memory with me every step of the way.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancers. Because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, survival rates remain devastating. Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day, and it is the third biggest cancer killer in Australia.
Research can change this.
So, 10 years after losing Dad to this terrible disease, I’m challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 80km throughout September.
Every kilometre is for him. 💜

I'm walking this September in memory of my Dad, David, who we lost to pancreatic cancer 10 years ago. He was my first hero, my safe place, and the best Dad a girl could ever ask for. Ten years on, I still miss his voice, his laugh and his sometimes cheesy jokes every single day. Every step I take is to honour his fight, remember the incredible man he was, and help raise funds for research so that one day, fewer families have to experience this heartbreaking loss. Dad, I hope I'm making you proud. I love you always. 💜
