Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I'm walking 100 for the Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.
My dad, Chris Turner, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March 2024 and was given 6 months to live. This came as a shock to our family. Dad was fairly healthy. We went on regular walks 5km together before his diagnosis. Dad ended up passing away on the 5th of April 2025, 13 months after diagnosis. My Dad fought till the very end despite the odds being against him.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.
Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 100kms to fight this terrible disease and In honour of my dad and all of our walks together.
Please make a donation to support me and share my post. Every dollar makes a difference 💜
