Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I’m walking 78km in memory of my Dad, who I lost to pancreatic cancer in 2021. I’m walking for him, and for the 78 Australians who lose their lives to this devastating disease every single week.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancers, and because it rarely causes symptoms in its early stages, survival rates remain devastatingly low. Every day, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, making it the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.
Losing my Dad showed me firsthand just how cruel this disease can be, and how desperately we need better treatments, earlier detection and more hope for families facing it.
Research can change this. Your support will help fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and work towards improving survival rates, so that other families can have more time with the people they love.
So this September, I’m challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 78km for Dad, and for every person and family affected by pancreatic cancer.
