For my Mom. For every family. Help me take a stand against pancreatic cancer.
This September, I’m walking 234km in memory of my Mom.
Late last year, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. From that moment, I witnessed a level of strength, courage and resilience I’ll never forget. She fought with everything she had, yet this devastating disease took her from us far too soon.
I’m taking on this challenge not only to honour her incredible life, but to help ensure that one day, other families don’t have to experience the same heartbreak.
Pancreatic cancer is one of Australia’s deadliest cancers because it rarely causes symptoms in its early stages, making it incredibly difficult to detect. Every day, 12 Australians are diagnosed, and every week, 78 Australians lose their lives to this disease.
Research gives us hope. It has the potential to improve early detection, develop better treatments, and ultimately save lives.
Every kilometre I walk is for my Mom. Every donation helps move us one step closer to a future where pancreatic cancer is no longer one of Australia’s deadliest cancers.
