Support our challenge to fight pancreatic cancer

An extremely long 10 months ago, I lost my forever person, our children lost their beloved father and many others lost a treasured friend to pancreatic cancer. Not a day goes by that we don’t bury the pain of this loss behind a forced smile to continue living the life he would so wish for us.

To hold the hand of a loved one and encourage them to fight for life and for more time together all the while grappling the ever so cruel fate and reality of this aggressive disease, is pure emotional torture. 

And that is why my two children and I will each walk 71km each this September for the 71 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week. Our dream is that one day families wont have to endure the pain we have. 

Pancreatic cancer is now the 4th biggest cancer killer in Australia, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.

If you are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer tomorrow, there is only a 12.5% chance you'll be alive in 5 years. 💔

But research can change this. Your support will fund life-saving pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.

So this September, we’re challenging ourselves to get up, get moving and walk 71km to fight this terrible disease.
