Support my challenge to fight pancreatic cancer
This September, I'm walking 71km for the 71 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week. I am taking on this challenge in memory of my grandfather Bill Cole who lost a short, tough battle with pancreatic cancer in 2015.
Pancreatic cancer is now the 4th biggest cancer killer in Australia, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
If you are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer tomorrow, there is only a 12.5% chance you'll be alive in 5 years.
But research can change this. Your support will fund life-saving pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 71km to fight this terrible disease.

Frankie Incoming!!
Sunday 1st Sep Frankie has decided she also wants to join in on Remember September! I will be blogging her steps each night as she is also wearing her Garmin and keeping count. Although Frankie was only 4 months old when Bill passed away, Frankie has grown up surrounded by photos, stories and memories of Bill. She understands the challenge she is undertaking and thinks it is for a great cause. Love having Frankie's involvement in this challenge!!
The Night Before
Saturday 31st Aug So the challenge of Remember September starts tonight from midnight and I am so excited to get started! The Garmin is charged and I am ready for action! I am blown away that I am already half way through my fund-raising goal and I haven't started yet - thankyou so much to those who have donated and are backing me. It means the world!! Let's do this!
