Day 1 - recess

Today we started our journey! Being a teacher I set out my recess and lunches for the whole month to get some steps up and push my steps and raise awareness with teachers and students. I was joined by 20 students and more peaking interest to “help raise money by walking next to you”! After recess, eating time and the students have made some posters 🥹💜

Support our challenge to end pancreatic cancer

This September, we're walking (156km (78 x 2) for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.

Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.

But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.

This is a personal journey for us as we’re watching the strongest women we know fight this disease. (Nana/sandra)

So this September, we're challenging ourselves to get up, get moving and walk 156km to fight this terrible disease.
