In Loving Memory Of

Rob Curtis-Smith (Mama)

16/08/1946 - 04/02/2013

A well-missed woman by all <3

Day 8.

N/B this is me, Lou posting, not Bell’s. Anyway, went out just before the skies opened this arvo. Manage only a couple of kms today….but it’s better than nothing! Ran into an old friend on the beach. We shared the news of our families and how we have both retrained later in lives in different careers. How blessed we are to be living healthy lives where we can do this. I will never take this for granted ❤️

Don’t forget to press start!

I went to check my running tally of distance today and realised I had forgotten to press start!!! I was well over half way. Oh well. Ended up meaning u did an extra amount. So that’s a win really!

First day!

Lots of stops and starts to give the dogs off leash time and then reattach them but it’s done! the month has begun.

Let's kick pancreatic cancer to the curb!

This September we're walking, giving up caffeine and/or giving up alcohol to fundraise for research into a cure for pancreatic cancer.

Rob Curtis-Smith (Mum to some, Mama to most) sadly passed from pancreatic cancer in February 2013. She was a wonderful, kooky, caring woman taken far too soon, but she left such a lasting impact on all those who knew her and some who didn't.

Early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms and because of this the survival rates are devastating.

It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia with 12 Australians diagnosed every day.

But research can change this. Your support will fund ground-breaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.

So this September, we're challenging ourselves to get up (without a coffee), get moving and walk to fight this brutal disease.

Please make a donation to support us and together we can remember Mama, and hopefully find a cure!

Well done my love, great cause. Pancreatic cancer is what killed my dad. It went undiagnosed until it was to late and he passed within 4 months. It is a silent killer. Love Leigh
