In Loving Memory Of

Rose White

To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die

WALK FOR ROSE, SAT 12 SEPTEMBER - PLEASE JOIN OUR TEAM!

Now that it is officially September - welcome sunshine, my old friend! - I want to remind you to sign up for our Pankind fundraising event in memory of our beloved Rose.
As you know, the Henley Beach Masters swimming club and friends have participated in Pankind's September awareness and fundraising efforts for the past couple of years. This year, inspired by Rose's marathon sporting achievements, her love of the beach, always being up for a chat and a coffee, and her gift for forging connections meaningful connections, we have planned a long walk on Saturday 12 September in her honour.
Starting from Grange Jetty, we're going to do continuous laps (walking) between Grange and Henley from sunrise to sunset, relay-style. The idea is to have a rotating group of participants walk Grange-Henley-Grange on the hour every hour from 7am-5pm with a break for lunch between 12-1pm at the Grange Jetty Kiosk and with the last walkers arriving back by 6pm for a group dinner at the Grange Hotel. You can join in for as many laps as you like throughout the day.
Invite your friends!! It's open to all, not just HBM members. Participants encouraged to join the Henley Beach Masters fundraising team and donate as much or as little as you like: https://www.rememberseptember.org.au/fundraisers/henleybeachmasters
While you can if you like, you don't have to do anything further beyond this - this event will constitute our walking and fundraising effort for Remember September this year.
In order to make sure we have each lap covered, it would be great if you could sign up for those laps you intend to walk and RSVP for dinner here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dU56Hi9yNEVKRfzNTPUMbwdqTErc0t6tTXsYraxpvWY/edit?usp=sharing. You can do as many as you like or just join us for lunch or dinner.

Support our challenge to end pancreatic cancer

This September, we're walking 78km for the 78 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.

Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.

But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.

So this September, we're challenging ourselves to get up, get moving and walk 78km to fight this terrible disease.

Please make a donation to support us, and together...

We will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them.
