Walking for Mum, Fighting Pancreatic Cancer
Four years ago, my beautiful mum was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Her battle was heartbreakingly short, and losing her so suddenly was devastating for our family. There are no words for how hard it has been to live without her.
This September, I’m walking 75km in her memory — and for the 75 Australians who lose their lives to pancreatic cancer every single week.
Pancreatic cancer is now the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia. Because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, most people are diagnosed too late, and the survival rates are devastating. If you are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer tomorrow, there is only a 13% chance you’ll still be alive in 5 years.
But research can change this. Every donation will help fund groundbreaking research, improve early detection, and give families more time with the people they love.
So this September, I’m challenging myself to get up, get moving, and walk 75km to fight this terrible disease.
Please make a donation to support me — and together, We will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them
