Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer

This September, I'm walking 150km for the 75 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.

Pancreatic cancer is the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.

Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.

But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.

So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 150km to fight this terrible disease.

Monday 15th Sep
a light 4kms this evening after a big weekend of 21kms. Looking forward to doing it all again tomorrow. More Kms for Mum! x

Saturday 13th Sep
Beautiful morning for a good 8km walk with the wife. The walk today has got me over the halfway mark. Looking forward to doing a 11km walk tomorrow morning. Keep pushing for the great cause.

Thursday 11th Sep
Felt a little better today pushing myself to get over the line for Mum and others that are in the fight and need a cure. I will push on tomorrow

Wednesday 10th Sep
very slow going today took it easy on the legs. Freezing cold and exceptionally windy but still got it done. I am feeling a little sore today but that’s not going to stop me.

Tuesday 9th Sep
Another nice slow jog still feeling it from the weekend celebrations so far so good the hammies and the calf holding up. Less than 100kms to go for this superb cause. Hopefully every step we take is one closer to a cure. Does feel good to get that 50kms out the way. I will be back to do it all again tomorrow. ❤️

Monday 8th Sep
Today was another tough one just a nice slow jog. After the Burnside Heights Flag and then Father’s Day yesterday it’s been a big weekend. Another family get together without Mum got me motivated to get the legs moving and pump out another 6kms for this great cause.

Sunday 7th Sep
very difficult morning the wind was insane and it was a massive struggle after celebrating Burnside Heights Football Club’s first senior flag, they got the job a lot easier than I did. Great weekend and will inspire me to do even more. Go Bears and Happy Fathers Day especially to those that we have lost to Pancreatic cancer.

Wednesday 3rd Sep
was a tough one today cold and windy but still enjoyed every step for this amazing cause. Legs and back a little sore so some stretching required. Looking forward to another 6kms tomorrow.

Tuesday 2nd Sep
was a little bit windy today but a lot warmer at about 17 degrees and sun was shining. Enjoying getting out there and pounding the pavement for such a great cause. Time to stretch up and prepare for tomorrow afternoon might try and get a sneaky 8kms in.

Monday 1st Sep
started with a 6km walk which took just a little over 54 minutes. Was quite cool but no wind. Mum must have been looking down on me as soon as I walked in the door the rain started, I didn’t cop a drop. Winning! 29 days to go feels good to get the first one done.
