Support my challenge to fight pancreatic cancer

This September, I'm walking 75km for the 75 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week. 

Pancreatic cancer is now the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.

If you are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer tomorrow, there is only a 13% chance you'll be alive in 5 years.

But research can change this. Your support will fund ground-breaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.

So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 75km to fight this terrible disease.

Sunday 28th Sep
After receiving overwhelming support and sponsorship throughout the month, I thought it only fitting to make one last, big effort. So I decided to walk from my place out to Steve's family home in the country, a distance of 44km. It was a challenging, but rewarding walk filled with lovely scenery and wonderful and generous people. Thanks to all of my sponsors, walking companions and Leo, my trusty four legged walking partner, who enjoyed more walks than usual this September 🐕.

Tuesday 23rd Sep
A nice morning walk along some bush tracks. It's great to keep adding km's over and above my initial target. My 4-legged companion is also loving the extra walks!

Saturday 20th Sep
Hit my walking target today!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉Wooohooo🎉🎉🎉. Cold start and it didn't warm up much, but we forged on anyway. Hoping to smash out a few more km's before September is over.

Friday 19th Sep
Biggest day so far. 10km in the book and 15km to go to reach my target! Today's walk also holds extra special significance, because it is 8 years ago today that pancreatic cancer took Steve from us 😢. RIP Steve!
