Walking for Mum - 75km of Love, Strength, and Hope
I’m 16 years old, and this year I received the hardest news of my life - my beautiful mum has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and has been given just 12 months to live.
She’s my whole world, and watching her fight this has been heartbreaking. I’ve decided to walk 75km to raise $1,200 in her honour - to support her, to raise awareness, and to help fund the research that might one day change lives.
This isn’t just a walk, it’s for every memory we still have, for every family going through this, and for every person who deserves more time with the ones they love.
I may be young, but I’m walking with purpose, with love, and with hope.

My mother who has pancreatic cancer inspired me to take on this challenge to show my appreciation for her. I will remember my mum not just this September, but my whole life. With her last 12 months I am hoping to spend most of it with her taking her to the movies (if she is up to it with her anxiety) and taking her out to lunch every Friday. I love my mum forever and always.
