Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I'm walking 75km for the 75 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.
Sadly, we lost Brad on 27/07/25. He passed away only 11 weeks after being diagnosed with pancreatic and metastatic liver cancer.
Unfortunately, by the time his symptoms were evident it was too late for any treatment. He was so strong and brave throughout his short battle and managed to keep his brilliant sense of humour despite the absolute shitshow we found ourselves in.
We were so well supported by friends, family, our GP, and the wonderful palliative team from Melbourne City Mission. I will be eternally grateful to you all.
My hope is that research will help us come up with ways of detecting this deadly disease earlier so that we can save others like Brad who was loved by all who knew him and is deeply missed.
Pancreatic cancer is the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.
But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 75km to fight this terrible disease.
