Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I'm walking 75km for the 75 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week. My Mum at age 75 was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer on the 29th May this year, and on the 16th of June we said our final goodbyes, just 17 days after her diagnosis.
Pancreatic cancer is the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.
But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 75km to fight this terrible disease.

Tuesday 9th Sep Another 6.11 km walked. Lovely walk this afternoon along the marshland and back around through the estate, plenty of people out and about with their dogs, even saw a very happy guy on his electric scooter singing his heart out as he went past. Share

I am participating in this walk to honour my beautiful Mum who passed away on the 16th June 2025. We were advised that Mum had 4 to 6 months however, we lost Mum 17 days after being diagnosed. I was not ready to say goodbye to my Mum & I miss her so very much. When she moved in with us in October last year she made our house a home and now that piece is missing. Not a day goes by where I don’t think about her and wish I could hear her voice, have our chats, receive a hug, so many many things I miss. This one is for you Mum.
